EDS Recycles

Be prepared to recycle at walkathon.  There will be several recycle containers around campus to collect your aluminum cans and plastic water bottles.  Bring your empty water bottles and cans from home anytime during the school year (including walkathon).  You can also bring in Capri Sun pouches.  We receive $.02 for each one we return to them.  Recycling is one more way to raise money for EDS.  Go Huskies!

T-Shirts Going Home

Walkathon t-shirts will be going home on Wednesday, October 26th.  You can wear them to school anytime you want, but make sure to wear them to the walkathon on Saturday.

Volunteer Sign Ups

We are still looking for volunteers.  You can go here to sign up.  There is also a link in the side bar.  For some reason there are some items that didn't make it onto the sign up sheet namely, face painting, henna tattoos, and colored hair spray.  If any of those areas interest you, leave a comment and I will pass on the information.  (I am trying to get the signup sheet updated)

Tickets

Tickets are needed for all food and activities at walk-a-thon.  We've compiled the list below to help you determine how many tickets you need.  Each ticket is 50 cents.  You can pre-purchase tickets and pick them up when you check-in at walk-a-thon or you can purchase them once you arrive.  An order form was sent home today in the white envelope.

If you do not have the order form, send a note with the amount of tickets you would like to purchase.  Include the student's name, your phone number and a check payable to EDS PTO.

Walk A Thon T-shirts

Hi There,

The shirts are at the printers right now.  I'm waiting for a final review of the designs.
I anticipate the shirts will be delivered the first part of next week. Hopefully Tuesday morning.
The student with the winning design was Cameryn Laird, 6th grader.
Second place went to Maya Bajorek 8th grader and third place went to Lilly Fraenza 5th grader.

There will be a few extra shirts available at the day of the walk a thon on Oct 29 for $15.00.

No more orders are being excepted.

Lap Credits

If you participate in a sport event on the day of Walk-a-Thon, wear your uniform and tell registration when you check in.  You will receive a 5 lap credit.

Please bring your pledge sheet filled out to WAT with a minimum of $20 in collected pledges.  The remaining pledges must be turned in by November 15.
